Schools

Nenagh secondary schools have for some years now been amongst the most active supporters of the Fairtrade concept and particular credit is due to students and teachers in the schools. At present the staff rooms in the Convent of Mercy and CBS are 100% Fairtrade. The school canteen in the VEC serves 100% Fairtrade tea and coffee. Fairtrade events are regularly held in these schools. The Nenagh Fairtrade Group has representation from students and teachers from the secondary schools. At the start of the new school year in September 2008 representatives of the Nenagh Fair Trade Group met with the Principals and CSPE teachers in the schools to further strengthen links between the Group and the schools.
